Duck tape. It's basically magic. From patching to filling and securing, it really is one of the most useful tools in your roadside emergency bag. What can duck tape do for you?

One of duck tapes most obvious uses is to secure loose parts. From headliners to wires, if it's falling and getting in the way, duck tape is there to save the day. In general, it's best to avoid areas with extreme temperature swings, such as the ceiling of your car, as it might leave a nasty sticky residue that is basically impossible to get out, but it's a lot better than having your headliner sagging in your eyes while driving.

Hoses can be temporarily repaired with duck tape as well. Please be sure to use the duck tape to only patch the hole so you can get to a shop for repairs. Duck tape is great, but it can only keep your engine from overheating for so long.

Hopefully, it never comes down to it, but if it ever does, make sure you have duck tape in your roadside emergency bag. It's sticky and it'll save the day.
