Mazda's Mazda3 compact sedan has quietly become the automaker's bestselling model globally. This year the Mazda3 gets a nice mid-cycle refresh that features improved driving performance as well as an updated center console that is more intuitive. AutoGuide has a review of the new model.

640 × 480?

The Mazda3 is available with either a 2.0- or 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the latter of which generates 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. It can be paired with either a manual or automatic transmission, both of which have six gears. AutoGuide reports the stick shift is fun to drive - easy to maneuver and surprisingly compliant. Combined with a nimble steering setup, the car continues to display the kind athleticism that made it AutoGuide's 2014 Car of the Year.
