Summer is heating up, and so are the sales charts for the North American arm of Mazda. The Japanese automaker is in the midst of an impressive sales push, driven by sixth-gen models such as the Mazda3, Mazda6, and the upcoming CX-3. The question on everyone's minds, however, is the lofty, looming sales goal of 300,000 units expected by years' end.

With 305,000 units sold in 2014, we have no doubt that Mazda will make it. As of yet, the brand has sold 131,773 units so far this year, and with the summer months a popular time to buy cars, we have no doubt that things will speed up, especially with the looming introduction of the CX-3. The real trick is seeing if the brand can match its 2016 goal of 400,000 units.
