This year, the Mazda MX-5 Miata celebrated its 25th anniversary. Traditionally, the gift of silver is given for the great 25 year mark. Mazda chose to do something bigger. No, it wasn't gold or diamonds. Last week, Mazda unveiled the all-new, redesigned 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. In 2011, Guinness World Records named the Mazda MX-5 the best-selling two-seater sports car of all-time. Today, we call it our addiction - our fun habit as we can't get enough of the Miata.
Last week, Mazda Director of Design, Derek Jenkins unveiled the fourth-generation model in Monterrey, California. Let's have a look:
The look of the new re-model is fresh, innovative, and updated. As Jenkins explained, we like the wider and lower body with the "impossibly low" hood. We're excited about the implementation of Mazda's SkyActiv® technology, designed to cut fuel and boost engine output. Stay close to our blog as we learn more about this exciting 2016 model!
