Do you ever think about the minds behind the great new Mazda models that you'll find at our Broomfield, CO dealership? Do you wonder who dreamed up the Mazda CX-9 or Mazda CX-5? It takes a lot of intelligence, creativity, and industry knowledge to lead the design team that creates the vehicles that end up on our showroom floor, and we're thrilled to let our Sill-TerHar Mazda customers know that famous automotive designer Kevin Rice is back at the Japanese automaker.
Rice started his career at Coventry University with a degree in Transportation Degree, and started at Mazda in 1995. During his first stint at the company's design facility, he worked on the sporty Mazda RX-8 and helped to design the 1999 Neospace concept. In 2000, he left to work at one of Europe's top luxury car brands, and now, he's been poached to rejoin our team as the automaker's new creative director.
One of the biggest tasks that Rice will be given in his new position is that of evolving the brand's unique design language. It's known as "KODO - Soul in Motion," and focuses on incorporating the beauty and tension of the natural world in its aesthetic.
We can't wait to see what Rice's vision does for the models that end up at our dealership, and given his past successes, we only expect great things. If you have any questions about the brand's design philosophy, don't hesitate to contact a member of our sales team today by phone or online contact form.
